Why Mary didn’t care?

It was a time when the worst fears of the disciples came into reality. Jesus, their master, was dead and hanging on the cross.
Soon His body was taken down from the cross and placed in a tomb, and a large stone was rolled in front it.

And the Bible records this early on the first day of the week;

John 20:1
Mary came to the tomb early while it was still dark…

Mary didn’t care whether someone was awake this time, she didn’t worry about how a woman will walk alone in the dark, she didn’t care whether someone joined with her. It must have been real scary for a woman to go alone in the dark to a dead man’s tomb

But Mary was a Jesus lover!

John 20:10,11
Then the disciples went back to their homes. But Mary stood weeping outside the tomb…

While a couple of disciples reached the tomb of Jesus later, on seeing the empty tomb they went back to their homes, but Mary lingered longer.

Her reward: She was recorded in the Bible as the first one to see Jesus alive!

Are you truly a Jesus lover? Do you run to seek Him in prayer while it is still dark and the world around you is sleeping. Does it matter to you whether anyone joins you or not? Does it matter whether people exit their prayer closet quicker than you? Would you linger a bit longer? Your reward??? His presence!
